Welcome to December. We all survived NaNo, and last night, Mandi and I lit the first candles for Chanukah. The family gathered in the library/piano room- me, Mandi, Morgan and Chivas- and we sang and did all those things you do on a holiday. It was lovely. I think it would be correct to say that this is Mandi's second Chanukah with me, but it's really my first Chanukah.
Morgan is now sitting with me at my laptop as I type this at 6:30 in the morning on my day off (parent-teacher conferences today, which I do not need to attend). I am looking forward to spending the day catching up on some projects for work and home, as well as refreshing my memory as to what I was doing with Poison Tree. The next round of revisions is due back to Random House around the end of January, so I need to get back to work now that NaNo is done.
Hey. are you Jewish? If you are, that's so cool. I mean, I am, but it's kinda rare, you know? Hope your Chanukah was joyful. Chag Sameach (although it might be a bit late to say that now...)!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, there's a kind of complicated answer to that question. If you'd like to hear it, you're welcome to PM me on the board. - Amelia
ReplyDeleteMy pre-ordered copy of All Just Glass just shipped! I can't wait to read it! BTW, since I'm commenting, I own all your books and my bff and I get super excited when we find out that you have new books coming out. So, this comment is basically to be a gushy fan and say KEEP IT UP!
